2023 - Christmas 🎄 Tree Festival

Community involvement is at the cornerstone of all we do at LJ Hooker Cessnock and while we have the backing support of the LJ Hooker brand and all that comes with that iconic name, our business is a locally run, small business. And just like any small business we live and die on the support of our local community, so we are always striving to offer the best service to our clients, and being an active member of the local community is part of that.

The uniting church Cessnock/Bellbird invited local businesses and community groups to decorate a Christmas tree to support a cause of their choice, with voting by gold coin donation, for their Christmas Tree 🎄 Festival 2023.

Mel from our team who really loves Christmas wanted to be involved this year, and suggested the charity Little Wings for our chosen charity.

Little Wings is a non-profit organization that provides free, professional, safe flight and ground transport services for seriously ill children in rural and regional NSW, ACT and QLD. They strive to ease the journey and help sick children access specialised medical services and treatments that are only available in major cities or towns.

They do everything they can to support families by easing the financial burden, emotional strain and travel fatigue that they experience due to the long-distance travel associated with receiving vital medical treatment.

Little Wings started by providing services to children undergoing cancer treatment at The Children’s Hospital in Westmead, Sydney. Since then, our team has worked hard to extend our services to assist other seriously ill children receiving treatment at The Sydney Children’s Hospital Network, The John Hunter Children’s Hospital in Newcastle and Royal Far West in Manly with a direct link to Cessnock by recently establishing a new Cessnock base at the Cessnock Airport.

“We had an a great time last night decorating our tree, huge thank you to Mellissa who made most of the decorations and to our helpers Matilda and Bronte, the biggest winners being the charities that will benefit by the injection of some funds” Said Bryce Gibson.

Voting and donation collection starts today is open for viewing and voting Mon-Tues 3-5pm, and Wed- Sat 10-12pm, with winner to be announced on Tuesday 19th December at the Carols in the Bush at Hebburn Motorsport Park.

We ask that if you can please make a gold coin donation and vote for our tree to win for the Little Wings Charity.
