Return and Earn - For Charity
Community return n earn scheme is nothing new for the team here at LJ Hooker Cessnock, the brain child of our Director Bryce Gibson back in 2018, where we collected bottle ands cans from our local community to raise money for life saving equipment purchased through the Humpty Dumpty Foundation with two new medical equipment items given to two local hospitals within our local LGA.
In 2024, we have bought back the return n earn scheme to tailor it charities that are important to our team, This year so far to date we have been targeting charities chosen by members of our team, to collect and fundraise for, this year we have donated to these charities and we are proud to provide this end of year update.
*LIttle Wings Charity
* Soldier On Charity
* Pirate Day for The kids Cancer Project
* Cancer Council NSW
* Legacy Australia
* Royal Flying Doctors
* Mark Hughes Foundation
So far this year we have processed over 25,000 cans and bottles through the machines, not only does this represent recycling but a step towards making a positive impact to the lives of those in need.
In addition to this impressive number we are thrilled to announce that we have total donations to these various charities have reached $2,500.00. Every contribution counts and we are grateful for the donations to the office and Bryce who volunteers his time sorting the cans and bottles each week.
Stay tuned for more news and more updates in 2025 on our recycling journey and its impact from the team at LJ Hooker Cessnock.
